Welcome to the Inspecting and Cleaning the chapter probes, Wash Stations and Mixer Impellers on the Itelica CI Analyzer video. This procedure should be completed as part of monthly maintenance. To begin, navigate to Maintenance, set the frequency filter to Monthly, and then select Inspecting and Cleaning. The chapter Probes, Probe Wash Stations, and Mixer Impellers. Select Perform and then OK. To access online help instructions on how to perform the cleaning, select the Procedure Details button. Select OK at the prompt to allow the analyzer to enter diagnostic mode. Wait for the analyzer to enter diagnostic mode. When this message displays, the system is in diagnostic mode. Note that when the system is in diagnostics mode, the analyzer will be read in the system status map. Continue with the following steps to clean the chapter, probes, wash stations, and mixer. Wait until you have completed the cleaning and then select OK Lift up and remove the Back right cover to temporarily store the right back cover. You can hang the cover on the back of the system by positioning the cover tabs so they fit into the slots at the bottom of the opening. Locate the three chapter probes, the dilution probe, the sample probe, and the reagent probe. To protect the CHQ vets from debris, cover the Q vets with lint free tissues. To inspect the exterior of each probe, manually raise and hold the probe up with one hand until the tip is clear of the parking port. Inspect the exterior of the probe and replace if damaged. If appropriate, wipe off any debris from each probe with an alcohol pad or lint free tissue dampened with alcohol. Using the other hand, locate the probe wash station for each probe. Inspect each of the wash stations. If appropriate, wipe off and remove any debris in the wash station with an alcohol pad or lint free tissue dampened with alcohol. Locate the two chapter mixers, the reaction ring mixer and the dilution ring mixer. Inspect the exterior of each mixer impeller. If appropriate, wipe off any debris from each mixer impeller with an alcohol pad or lint free tissue dampened with alcohol. Remove the lint free tissues over the cuvettes. Reinstall the right back cover, line up the bottom of the cover with the notches on the analyzer manifold, and then push the cover in place at the top so the latches are secure. Upon completion of the maintenance task, select OK. At the prompt, there is an option to either perform additional manual maintenance activities or to resume the system. To perform additional manual maintenance activities, select Yes. To exit and resume the system, select No. This completes the procedure for inspecting and cleaning the chapter probes, wash stations, and mixer impellers on the Itelica CI Analyzer.
