NAEOTOM Alpha VA50 Update Training - General Software Improvements Video - USA
Coming up in this video, we cover the general software improvements and added features of the software version VA50.
Welcome to the neo Tom Alpha software. VA. 50 update training for general software improvements and added features. Coming up in this training, we will cover the improvements to fast and care technologies as. Compared to the previous. Software version. VA40. General improvements with the VA 50 for the neatham alpha include. General image quality improvements based on customer. Feedback. Optimized quantum iterative reconstruction algorithms to boost reconstruction performance. With the upgrade to V. A50 Imar will now be available for use in reconstructions. The only difference I mar has with the neotoma alpha is that the spine implant setting is not currently available to select. As a substitute you can use selection of extremity implants or hip implants. Keep in mind that you can combine imar with higher Kev monoenergetic plus images for the optimal metal artifact reduction. You can utilize IMR on reconstructions with a maximum kernel sharpness of 56. Another new feature is the automated patient breathing instructions. The patient instructions can now have independent settings for before the scan range, after the scan range, or both. You can now separate and give breathing instructions only before the scan range or only after the scan range. This can be configured in the timing tab of the scan parameters. As you can see in the examples below, this is beneficial when there are two ranges back-to-back and when you need patients. To continue holding their breath throughout multiple. Ranges. With the update. To V A50 many protocols have been added for. Use. These include flex 4D dynamic scans. Intervention protocols if you purchased an intervention package. Child alternative protocols with quantum plus scan modes. Brain death protocol, which has a native brain scan and a CTA brain. Adult polytrauma multiphase. CTA cardiac. Stent with Ultra High RES scan modes. And finally new research and spectral protocols for a gammex, phantom and multi threshold body. New scan modes were added for use with the VA. 50 software. The first is. Thorax. Flash High res ultra scan mode. With flash, skin speeds up to a 3.2 pitch. And high res collimation of 120 by 0.2 millimeters. In this mode, all images will be T3D and no spectral reconstructions are possible. The next new scan mode is the high res ultra angio scan for the brain's neck or extremity. This is an angio scan mode with high res collimation of 120 by 0.2 millimeters. Spectral reconstructions are possible, but in standard resolution of 0.4 millimeters. It will have slower scan speeds due to the smaller collimation. The last new scan mode is a pelvis with high res ultra. This is a routine scan mode with high res collimation of 120 by 0.2 millimeters. Spectral reconstructions are possible, but in standard resolution of 0.4 millimeters. It will have slower scan speeds due to the smaller collimation. New additional organ settings for parallel ranges in Recon and go include. Oregon Region of lower extremities for foot or ankle. Both right and left are available. Also in the neck region for carotid bifurcation right and left. There are two new features in C view and go. Single CT Dental is now available. It supports pre surgical planning for dental operations by reformatting curved, panoramic and paraxial views along the jawbone. It also supports the definition of the mandibular canal. The average plugin from single via VB 60 is also now available in C view and go. It allows the fusion of two DICOM images. On a. Pixel by. Pixel basis and can be used for tibial, tubercle and trochlear. Groove TTG. Measurements. The protocol description has been split into. A customizable and changeable protocol description. And fixed examination information. The scan modes, decision trees, contrast protocols and possible applications are all listed in the fixed examination information. The Recon time has been improved with V A50. VBA50 includes a faster ICS computer along with optimizations to the reconstruction algorithms. With this. Upgrade. The reconstruction performance with VA. 50 could be. Improved considerably.
